MMOG crime on the rise in Japan

Police have arrested a 12-year-old boy from the Kanagawa prefecture (Japan) for stealing virtual goods in an unnamed MMOG. The boy had illegally accessed another players account in order to transfer goods from that account into his own. On 11 occasions he stole items from the other players character to add to his own. The value of each item is estimated to be at 100 yen (about $1). Read |
